Boston Networks are proud to announce that Chief Executive, Scott McEwan, has made the list of finalists for this year’s Ernst & Young Scotland Entrepreneur of the Year.
Under Scott’s leadership, Boston Networks has successfully diversified its solution and technological offering, contributing to the sustainable growth of the Company and doubling profits over a 3 year period; even in the recent challenging economic climate.
Over the past few years Scott has spearheaded Boston Networks, during which time acquiring a Fire and Security company, nurturing the talent within the Company and shaping a fully operational Support and Maintenance division. Recent key project wins for Boston Networks have included the design and deployment of an Intelligent Building solution for the £90m South Glasgow Hospital, which will be Europe’s largest super-hospital upon completion, becoming the official ‘Cabling Services Provider’ for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and successfully winning several multi-year framework agreements with key Public Sector organisations.
Jim Bishop, senior partner and Entrepreneur Of The Year Leader at EY Scotland, said: “Scotland enjoyed phenomenal success in the competition last year and the calibre of this year’s entrants speaks volumes about the country’s standing as a hotbed of entrepreneurial talent.
“Our finalists employ a combined total of over 5,000 people and turnover more than £600 million; the contribution they make to the economic health of the nation as job creators and wealth generators deserves recognition.”
The Scotland region winners will be announced at an exclusive event held at The Gleneagles Hotel on Thursday 19 June.
Boston Networks would also like to congratulate all the other finalists.
