Pelco by Schneider Electric, the IP video security manufacturer, has recognised Boston Networks for its outstanding Premier Partner Sales achievement in 2014. The award recognises the success of the Boston Networks team throughout 2014 and comes after a highly successful year, in which Boston Networks and Pelco worked collaboratively to deliver a state-of-the-art IP video surveillance solution for South Glasgow Hospital (the UK’s latest super hospital).

The award was presented to Scott McEwan, Chief Executive, Paul Goodbrand, Operations Director, and Hugh Hamill, Fire & Security Director at the Boston Networks Headquarters in Glasgow, by Kevin Smith, Regional Sales Director and Alastair Scott, Business Development Manager of Pelco.

Commenting on the award, Scott McEwan, Chief Executive, Boston Networks said:

“We are proud to be awarded the Pelco Premier Partner Achievement Award. 2014 was an exceptional year for Boston Networks with many major projects, such as South Glasgow Hospital, the Commonwealth Games and Ryder Cup, successfully delivered. To receive this accolade is testament to the drive and determination of our team to diversify and grow the business”.

Kevin Smith, Regional Sales Director, Pelco by Schneider, commented:

“I would like to congratulate Boston Networks on winning the Pelco Premier Partner Distinguished Sales Achievement Award. The Pelco solution they delivered to South Glasgow Hospital ensures the building benefits from mission-critical HD IP video surveillance with guaranteed reliability to monitor and safeguard patients throughout the facility”.

The new £842m South Glasgow Hospital was completed in early 2015, with an official opening scheduled for May. The new hospital has 14 floors and 1109 beds, with each general ward consisting of 28 single bedrooms with private facilities. When open, it will be one of the largest acute hospitals in the UK and home to major specialist services such as renal medicine, transplantation and vascular surgery, with state-of-the-art Critical Care, Theatre and Diagnostic Services.
