Boston Networks Apprentice to compete in the Engineers of Tomorrow competition at IFSEC.

Boston Networks Modern Apprentice James Marr has won a place at the IFSEC Global Engineers of Tomorrow competition final in London.

Launched 19 years ago, the Engineers of Tomorrow competition will see finalists from across the country compete against each other at the IFSEC & FIREX conference on the 20th June at the London ExCeL.

The qualifying Skills Challenge for Electronic Fire and Security Apprentices was held earlier this month at New College Lanarkshire, where James was up against tough competition in the Fire Alarm category.

James, who is in the third year of his Modern Apprenticeship at New College Lanarkshire, will travel to London with the college, where the finalists will undertake a 90-minute live installation challenge.

Heat winners will then be invited to the IFSEC Security & Fire Excellence Awards in November, where an overall winner will be announced and awarded a £1,000 prize.

Well done James!!
