STEM Fortnight 2018

For the third year running, Boston Networks has continued its work as a STEM ambassador, by participating in STEM fortnight.

STEM fortnight is an annual event organised by Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce which offers pupils from schools across the area the opportunity to visit local businesses with a STEM specialism.

This year we welcomed a fantastic group of S3 pupils from St. Benedict’s School in Linwood to Boston Networks headquarters. During the visit students found out more about the history and importance of networks, and about Boston Networks and the wide array of technologies we offer.

Sessions included an ‘Introduction to Network Technology’ from our Senior Engineer, Mark Doyle, and ‘My STEM Journey’, where Falk Bleyl, our Chief Technology Officer and Scott Wallace, Senior Technical Consultant presented overviews of their different journey from education to their current roles today.
